Hinata Kannou (金納日向, Hinata Kannou^?) is one of the six main characters of PikaPika Tropica Pretty Cure! Hinata's alter ego is Cure Solar (キュアソーラー, Cure Solar^?), and she is otherwise known as the Elysian Warrior of the sun and daylight.

Bio

Appearance

Hinata has shoulder length, curly light brown hair with an upright cowlick in civilian form, fashioned with two pale yellow, flower shaped barrettes. Her eyes are round and gold-ish in colour, and she is quite petite in stature.

In cure form, Hinata's hair becomes a much brighter, sunny yellow, and is tied at the top of her head in a bouncy ponytail that splits to frame both sides of her face. Her eyes become slightly lighter.

Etymology

Kannou (金納, Kannou^?) - Derived from Kana (金, Kana^?), which means "gold" and Nou (納, Nou^?), which means settlement.

Hinata (日向, Hinata^?) - Hi (日, Hi^?) means "day" or "sun" while Nata (向, Nata^?) means "yonder" or "facing," thus, her name roughly translates to "facing the sun."

Cure Solar - From the english word solar, meaning "relating to or determined by the sun."

Cure Solar

Cure Solar (キュアソーラー, Cure Solar^?) is Hinata's Pretty Cure alter ego. She transforms using the Shiny Bell and Malamala Shiny Paradite. She is the current wielder of the light of Elysium, preceded by Cure Eden.

Cure Solar makes her debut in PPTPC04.

Attacks

• Solar Shimmering (ソーラー・シーメリング, Solar Shimmering^?) is Cure Solar's main attack, used primarily to purify enemies. She first used it in episode 4.
• Solar Stream (ソーラー・ストリーム, Solar Stream^?) is Cure Solar's main attack while wielding the Lamparadis. She first used it in episode 7.
• Tropica Shining Aloha (トロピカ・シャイニング・アローハ, Tropica Shining Aloha^?) is the group attack that Cure Solar can use with Cure Flurry, Cure Tide, and Cure Lava. She first used it in episode 9.
• Mele O Beam (メレ・オ・ビーム, Mele O Beam^?) is a mostly useless attack that consists of nothing but a bright flash of light. It is later revealed to be very effective against Helo'he. She first used it in episode 13.
• Aloha, Paradise!

Shiny Paradites/Bond Paradites

• Malamala Shiny Paradite is the Shiny Paradite that allows Hinata to become Cure Solar.
• Hibiscus Paradite is a Bond Paradite bearing a gem shaped like a Hibiscus, as the name suggests. It allows Cure Solar to use Solar Stream and Mele O Beam.

• According to her official profile, Hinata's favourite food is peanut butter, and her blood type is O.
• Cure Solar is the first Cure in the season to gain more than two solo attacks.
